EXHIBITIONS

Pirbright Art Club now holds three exhibitions each year. Our main "Annual Exhibition", takes place in early December, and our Summer outdoor "Railings Exhibition" is at the end of July. We have exhibited in the village Scarecrow Festival for several consecutive years and this year we will be taking part in the Pirbright Community Games (see below).

ANNUAL EXHIBITION

Our 2016 Annual Exhibition took place over the weekend of 3rd / 4th of December. The exhibition was very successful, with overall sales being up from previous years, despite the average catalogue price also going up. Unframed folios, including unframed oils and acrylics, which were not in the catalogue also did well. Our craft fair was well received and our own stall selling "good-as-new" (donated and unwanted) art material contributed to a  financially successful exhibition. Visitors numbers were healthy and there was evidence that our Facebook Ad, publicising the event, attracted more people. Further details, including an analysis of the pictures on display as well as sales statistics, can be found here.

PIRBRIGHT COMMUNITY GAMES

We have exhibited in the village Scarecrow Festival for several consecutive years and this year we will be taking part in the Pirbright Community Games which is taking place on Saturday June 17th. Our contribution to the Games will be a "join-in" session, where members of the public may like to "have-a-go". We will have a still-life set-up and a portrait model. Maggie Read will also demonstrate and oversee the workshops. There will also be "artist at work" sessions.

RAILINGS EXHIBITION

The "Railings Exhibition", our annual Summer outdoor exhibition and sale of work, took place on Saturday 30th July this year. Many pictures on display had a "horticultural" or "floral" theme.
