Pirbright Art Club usually holds three exhibitions each year. Our main "Annual Exhibition" takes place in 2019 on November 30th and December 1st and the event this year will include a "Black Friday" sale of paintings as well as our main display. Our Summer outdoor "Railings Exhibition" is usually held at the end of July and we also exhibit at the Pirbright Village Fete in June. However for 2019, we are holding our "Railings Exhibition" in conjunction with the Village Fete (Dragon Fair) on June 15th.

ANNUAL EXHIBITION (Nov 30th and Dec 1st in 2019)

Our 2018 Annual Exhibition took place in early December at The Lord Pirbright's Hall, Pirbright. The exhibition featured many original drawings and paintings by our members, most of which were for sale. Unframed folios, including unframed oils and acrylics, were also for sale as well as cards and prints of member's paintings. Our Craft Fair and Cafe, in the adjacent Club Room, was also popular with visitors. The exhibition was a great success with several sales, and many congratulatory comments from guests.

Pirbright Art Club had a busy stall at 2018's Village Duck Fair - the latest name for Pirbright's annual Summer fete. Members' original paintings, framed and unframed, plus prints and cards were for sale. The day was fine and breezy and the fete drew the crowds in its time-honoured way. We were amongst the many local clubs and societies of all kinds which run in and around Pirbright. Our entry to the Church Flower Festival was a nod to Van Gogh : Sunflowers, and was created by Maggie Read. This was auctioned along with the other, somewhat more traditional, flower displays in aid of the Church. We have yet to find out who bid for our entry! (shown right).

RAILINGS EXHIBITION (June 15th 2019, in conjunction with Pirbright Dragon Fair)

Our 2018 annual outdoor exhibition was held at Lord Pirbright's Hall, on Saturday 28th July. One of the best displays of members' work so far, it was a shame this wasn't reflected in the number of sales! However - members always look forward to this event - it marks the Summer break for club meetings - we resume our busy art club schedule in September.
